Summer's Embrace

 dragonflies dart about over the pond
eyes always focused on what lies beyond
kingfishers watch for fish swimming by...
a humid morning, a hazy sky -

bumblebees buzzing from flower to flower
gathering pollen for the sweet power
to fly, to hover, move backwards and flee
from what startles a bumblebee -

butterflies flutter, wind in the leaves
sounds of creation as stoically trees
in humid and sultry summer's embrace
bring a sense of forever into this place...

poppies and lupins burst into flower
Sun worshipping beauty hour after hour
buttercups everywhere yellow and bright
awaiting the humid and sultry night -

sunset comes slowly Sun slips behind
mountains on the island every time
nightfall's golden promise fades away...
a sultry evening end to the day -

Until We Are Gone

 around and around and around and around
never an ending, never a sound
never a stop, never standing still
thought streams in eddie's beginning to spill

just like the Sun in the galaxy
Earth hanging on as off we all flee
swirling through space while spinning around
around and around and around and around -

up and down up and down up and down up and down
emotional moments in which we can drown
always rising, then ebbing away
emotion's an ocean In which to play

loving you loving me loving you loving me
loving loving a feeling ecstatically
exploding inside us and all around
and around all the places where we are found -

breathing in, breathing out, then breathing back in
the rhythm of life now echoing
in the love that we feel, the love that we give
breathing in, breathing out is the reason we live

spinning 'round and around as we swirl
and we twist
with the Sun deep in space by the universe kissed
feeling feelings then moving along
and along and along until we are gone...

Sultry Sensations

 fluttering butterflies in a warm haze,
summer's been sultry for so many days
humidity lingers in the air,
AC keeps calling whenever I'm there

whenever I'm outside molecules of skin
rub against molecules of water within
the atmosphere's moving gentle embrace
bringing cooling sensations as off I race -

bumblebees buzzing from flower to flower
sultry or not for the sweet power
to fly, to hover, move backwards and flee
whatever threatens a bumblebee -

crystals crystalizing under the earth
mycelium too for what it's worth
archaea in rocks without the Sun
everywhere underneath all is just one

consciousness seeping, oozing to flow
through molecules of skin so we can know
sultry sensations, liquidity
in the air around you and around me...
