Maybe Today

Day 15 Month 6 - 13 Moon Calendar

audio/video

maybe today

I wait and wait
but you don't come
I know you're there
know you're the one
yet still I'm here
all by myself
sometimes it feels
I'm on a shelf
forgotten, forlorn
left alone
waiting waiting
to come home
back to Nommo
far away
from the Earth
yet here I stay
waiting waiting
time's slow drip
splashing crashing
moments slip
away in streams
they rush on past
still in my dreams
time travels fast -
I know you'll come
I know we'll be
together once more
happily
back on Nommo
far away
from the Earth
maybe today

Blown Along

Day 15 Month 6 - 13 Moon Calendar

audio/video

blown along

blown along by winds unseen
through night and day, awake, in dream
saturated cloudy skies
fall to ground before our eyes

overflowing kerbs they grow
from rivulets to streams they flow
splash and tumble back to sea
back to ocean where they'll be

rising up and falling down
pulled by Moon and Sun we drown
in plasma ocean space so deep
we keep rising and we keep

falling down when we're let go
by unseen forces we can know
when released, when we're set free
no more falling, soaring we

keep rising as we fly
up and up into the sky
above the Earth, beyond the Moon
between the stars' electric tune

melodies so sweet resound
soul in space with feet on ground
mind and heart in harmony
we rise up when we're set free

in night and day awake in dream
blown along by winds unseen
rising up and falling down
pulled by Moon and Sun we drown

in plasma ocean space so deep
dream awake or dream in sleep...

Northshore

Day 13 Month 6 - 13 Moon Calendar

audio/video

North Shore

North Vancouver, West Vancouver
Dollarton, Deep Cove
Lion's Bay and Ansell point
signs by which we drove

sea-to-sky where eagles fly
Brackendale nearby
Squamish winds, more Howe Sound things
where peaks in water lie

Cypress Falls and ravens' calls
butterflies on the wing
Upper Level Highway's glimpse
Vancouver's happening

down below where buildings grow
like trees on mountains near
above it all, the noise the pall
nature's quiet cheer

spirits rise, it's no surprise
with beauty all around
Seymour, Grouse and Hollyburn
absorbing people's sound

the deafening hush
where Lynn Creek's rush
flows through canyon deep
awaking something we forgot

when we fell asleep
amidst the roar, the ever more
accumulating stuff
disappearing in a flash

the natural world's enough
to pacify our souls which cry
for peace amid the noise
and expectations to desire

all the world's new toys
down below where buildings grow
Vancouver's happening
from Lynn Peak's height

where sounds take flight
of breezes as they sing
spirits rise, it's no surprise
with beauty all around

Seymour rising skyward
absorbing people's sound

Coming Back

Day 11 Month 6 - 13 Moon Calendar

audio/video

coming back

helicopters, floatplanes rise
from waterfront up to the skies
winds skip skip across the bay
rippling steel blue cloudy day

the lighthouse blinks in Stanley Park
downtown buildings stand in stark
contrast to the mountains near
snow capped still in winter, we're

by the ocean - springtime looms
with daffofils, their yellow blooms
trumpet warm days by the sea
warm nights too now you're with me

in my mind and in my heart
we are one - we're not apart
wind and sky and ocean too
the part of me that's part of you

the part of spring when life's reborn
no more cold and dark forlorn
wistful moments, winter's dream
washed away in vernal stream

earth awakens from its sleep
the simple truth is that we keep
returning once more, coming back
there is no end, there are no lack

of chances for us now to grow
closer to the ones we know
every morning by the sea
every time that you're with me

every time that I'm with you
we become forever new
we become like spring's rebirth
radiating love on Earth...

Morning Kiss

Day 9 Month 6 - 13 Moon Calendar

audio/video

morning kiss

in the morning on the weekends
first I walk down by the sea
shimmering sunlight on the water
reflecting onto me

coffee steaming morning dreaming
air feels fresh the world seems new
all that's missing's the appealing
scent and touch of you

in my heart though you are with me
Sun kissed sparkling early morn
in my mind I'm wrapped around you
never ever to be torn

we are eagles soaring thermals
we are splashing seals at play
we're one being separated
still we're joined in every way

in the morning, in the evening
in the daytime, night-time too
when awake and when we're sleeping
that is when I dream of you

shining sunlight coloured rainbows
feelings felt so deep within
this is the place I love you
where we are, we'll be, we've been

shimmering sunlight on the water
reflecting onto me
in the morning on the weekends
as I walk down by the sea

coffee steaming morning dreaming
air feels fresh the world seems new
all that's missing's the appealing
scent and touch of you...
