an invisible landscape
inhabited by

 in the middle

in the middle of a hurricane
in the calm between the storms
it's planet Earth to which we came
on which we've been reborn -
in the middle of a darkening night
the Sun above still shines
with Moon and stars whose sparkling light
mixes and entwines -
in the middle of a world gone mad
where greed and war abound
where happiness gives way to sad
this is where we're found -
in the middle of an ocean deep
through plasma currents flow
in the space between our sleeps
the past always in tow -
in the middle of these words a hint
that there's a place within
refreshing like the taste of mint
a place we've always been -
in the middle of our egos' dance
thoughts flow by in streams
always there's another chance
to ride on astral beams -
beyond the Earth to which we've come
beyond the shining stars
into the all in which we're one
it's really not so far -
on planet Earth to which we came
on which we've been reborn
in the middle of a hurricane

electric fingers intertwining
electric loving ever shining
golden sunlight floods the ocean
illuminating souls in motion
you are always here inside me
I'm in you and we're beside the
ocean deep of space not ending
still we're joined whenever sending
thoughts and feelings everlasting
very slow and very fast in
telepathic waves expanding
from where I sit to where you stand in
awe of life on Earth together
always one no matter whether
I live by the ocean lapping
you live near a river tapping
keyboard, mouse clicks, files attached to
emails, pictures, glimpses snatch who
we are, we were, we will be
we keep coming back until the
electric loving ever shining
electric fingers intertwining
illuminate our souls in motion
as we journey through the ocean
moving slowly moving fast in
thoughts and feelings everlasting
