Christmas on Mars

where sometimes it seems to be almost warm
and sometimes obscured by a dust storm

recalling the beautiful, liquid and luscious
world we are from, where water rushes
from towering mountains down to the ocean,
life everywhere in constant motion...

Venus's tail's terrestrial brushing
with curtains of light that crackle the hush in
the awesome beauty of polar night
remembered on Mars with the beautiful sight

of electric currents intertwining
between two planets realigning
Earth and the Moon on the horizon...
Christmas on Mars is still so surprising...

hovering over a valley on Mars
serenely contemplating the stars
Uranus and Saturn above in the sky
with you by my side so warm and nearby...

Worshiping the Sun

 bumblebees are flying slowly
butterflies are fluttering too
songbirds in the trees are singing -
I am here with you

as thunder rolls in the distance
and lightning flashes in the sky
from a storm still far away from
this meadow where we lie

by a river lined with rushes
swaying with each puff of air
gentle breezes, moving water,-
knowing you are there

with all the life that surrounds us
aware that we are one
interacting conscious being -
worshiping the Sun

source of all of life and living,
the energizing power
animating with its giving
every second, every hour...

with electrifying rolling thunder,
its sound waves in between
being struck by awe and wonder
beside a flowing stream
