Again and Again

dogs with their humans, seals in the bay
floatplanes roar at the start of the day
whooshes and crackles and echoing booms
with geese flying by honking their tunes

in the distance a train whistle blows
traffic roars in a rush which now slows
a tug and a ferry, a ship sailing by
mountains reaching from sea to the sky

in the morning down by the shore
senses awaking, a time I adore
all this awareness feeding my mind
for a moment it's close to divine

all that I'm hearing, all that I see
the energy flowing all around me
once more awaking something within
here in the morning as I begin

riding and driving, being pushed and pulled
by unseen forces, bedazzled bejewelled
sparkling in sunshine, gleaming in rain
consciousness sharing again and again

we flow into the atmosphere
of all that was and now becomes
somewhere in which we're

tossed and turned while blown along
driven by unseen
forces which we can't resist
it's like floating in a stream

with waterfalls and canyon walls
pools and eddies too
and in our eyes reflected skies
splashing into view

from up high to down below
rushing to the sea
of all we know as we all go
drawn magnetically

things we thought and we believed
are left far behind
the winds of fate are never late
they blow all the time

forces which we can't resist
like when floating in a stream
toss and turn as we are churned
by something that's unseen
