June

June

June is morning simmering
freshly breathing swimming in
Sunday's early thought storm lull
while dreaming city sleepers mull
visions flashing dream's goodbye
the hush of sleeping minds which fly
fills the air, the atmosphere
calmly breathing without fear
without turmoil, sorrow's gloom
June is sunlight's quiet boom
crashing into earth and sea
reflecting off the mountains we
awake, enjoy its flash
bouncing beams of light which dash
electric light in synchrotron
illuminate and then move on -
June is summer coming in
asleep, awake we're one in
plasma clouds, each drifting mist
warmed in souls by summer kissed
Sunday's early thought storm lull
while dreaming city sleepers mull
visions flashing sleep's goodbye
the hush of sleeping minds which fly
fills the air, the atmosphere
calmly breathing without fear
without turmoil, sorrow's gloom
June is sunlight's quiet boom
crashing into earth and sea
reflecting off the mountains we
awake, enjoy its flash
here right now then off we dash

Journey to the Planet Be

Journey to (planet)Be

winter in Antarctica
summer Baffin blue
Earth keeps rocking back and forth
now that I'm with you
far away from Jupiter
and Io's eery glows
warm days by the ocean
with sparkling mountain snows -
Mount Baker sleeps, its whiteness
reaches to the sky
reflecting Sun, its brightness
shining from on high -
long ago Callisto
rose before the dawn
on Ganymede, I miss 'though
not the endless storms -
electric waves of ions
from Jupiter so nearby
on Ganymede we were high on
the beauty in the sky -
now here we are by water
the sea goes up and down
waves roll by we've caught a
rhythmic deep blue sound
like thunder from the lightning
in Jupiter's atmosphere
flashing and then brightening,
remembering brings a tear -
here on Earth we wonder
we think that we believe
all we know is under
our senses, then we leave -
the South Pole's in Antarctica
the North Pole's in the sea
when leaving we depart a
place we both must flee -
past Pluto then past Sedna
past Eris then beyond
Centauri's threesome beckons
it's time that we were gone -
Jupiter, Uranus
Saturn, Neptune too
Mars and Venus wane as
Proxima comes in view -
deep warm red its glowing
like embers in the night
new lives'll soon be growing
from the inner light
shining in the darkness
through both you and me
born amid the starkness
of the planet Be...

the wind

the wind

the wind, the wind, the wind
it moves
galloping galloping
sounds like hooves
of unseen horses
hurrying along
air in motion's rushing song
galloping over the ocean blue
galloping on past me and you
into the mountains' canyons deep
where rushing waters wake from sleep
mountain spirits, the all alive
inside the earth where they survive -
the wind, the wind, the wind
it moves
galloping galloping
sounds like hooves
of unseen horses
hurrying along
air in motion's rushing song
galloping through the forests green
galloping through it all unseen
by the eyes of creatures who
live their lives in ocean blue
swimming in the waters deep
those in motion, those who keep
still on rocks, in sand below
the wind above they do not know -
the wind, the wind, the wind
it moves
galloping galloping
sounds like hooves
of unseen horses
hurrying along
air in motion's rushing song -
