New Day

Day 12 Month 13 - 13 Moon Calendar

MP3/Video

 new day

birds fly close above the water
towards the Sun whose rays have caught a
splash splash splash cascading droplet
wings flap flap they do not stop yet
sounds they make expand caressing
ears and minds of beings less in
hurried flight in morning's glory
sunlight's streaming new day story -
here I am sat by the ocean
ships and tugs and birds in motion
across the bay the city's stirring
humming, roaring motors whirring
trucks and trains and car sounds merging
with noisy floatplanes as they're surging
into the air from glistening water
Sun's still rising rays have caught a
window in a soaring tower
reflecting golden morning's power
to those who pause to see its glory
such beauty in this living story -
birds fly close above the water
towards the Sun whose rays have caught a
splash splash splash cascading droplet
wings flap flap they do not stop yet
sounds they make expand caressing
ears and minds of beings less in
hurried flight in morning's glory
sunlight's streaming new day story -
