empty space is filled with light
ultraviolet, infrared
when awake or when in bed

making love in outer space
as we journey, as we face
each other, no gravity
to pull us close, just you and me

pulling in and pushing out
holding on to what's about
arms wrapped round then letting go
bouncing off the walls in slow

motion back to skin on skin
your hand guiding me back in
legs wrapped round seems to be the knack
while holding on, there are no lack

of moans and groans and ooo's and ahh's
while making love among the stars
sweet sensations becoming strong
eruptions that last so long

day by day and night by night
deep in space while on a flight
from the Earth, through the stars
to our home on planet Mars

In Awe

Triton, bigger than the Moon,
moves retrograde around Neptune
like Venus spinning slowly back
with atmospheric lightnings' crack

as IO plunges deep within
Jove's EM crackling's spheric spin
with Titan lurking just beyond
Saturn's ringing fading song,

a star now captured by the Sun
where Earth and Mars once belonged
until it entered Sol's domain
where Birkeland currents then were drained,

like Jupiter, Uranus too
emitting more than it should do
now sorted out electrically
into our cosmic family...

day by day and night by night
empty space is filled with light
ultraviolet, infrared
when awake or when in bed

atoms move, electrons spin
around around while we are in
awe of all that we can do
in awe of being me and you
