No Stars in the Sky
living within a red star's embrace
no stars overhead through which to race
no cosmic dreams, no SciFi
always a purple glow in the sky
believing all of which we're aware
is all there is, it's everywhere
there's nowhere else, nothing to see
we were so wrong, ignorantly
twisting ideas to compensate
for any strange celestial fate
like rocks from the sky, meteorites
two moons and polar electrical lights
dancing like fairies in the air
counter-rotating everywhere
shimmering curtains green almost blue
everyone's favourite celestial view
living within a red star's embrace
no stars in the sky, no nighttime to face
learning the lesson 'we all can be wrong'
wherever we live or think we belong...
