up and down we ride the waves
rolling in the sea
all around and too below
wet liquidity

looking up the sky is blue
no clouds anywhere
skin exposed to the heat
shimmering in the air

we have drifted far away
from the sight of land
now alone far from home
I don't understand

we were lying on the grass
imagining that we
just by thought could conjure up
somewhere else to be

I thought of another world
far away in space
a water world, warm and safe
now we're in that place

up and down riding waves
rolling in a sea
on a world far away
you are here with me

Empty Ocean

Day 15 Month 13 - 13 Moon Calendar

floating on an empty ocean
warm and calm the only motion
a gentle puff of air exhaling
then breathing in and never failing

to make ripples radiate around me
in my mind I feel I've found the
time and place for me to leave
letting go what I've believed -

the atmosphere through which I'm rising
flows through me, it's so surprising
the curvature of Earth appearing
the darkened sky with stars which we're in -

blue and white the Earth keeps shrinking
with the Moon and all my thinking
the Sun still bright and always shining
a beacon in the night for finding

while far away and still in motion
the emptiness a magic potion
seething with its life unseen
in the space that's in between -

seeming to me like the ocean
warm and calm, the only motion
rhythmic gentle inhalation
a subtle feeling and sensation

floating in an empty ocean
thoughts with wings the only motion
flying to you in this rhyme
from a place that's out of time

is it real?

or feel

like a mist
evaporating
with a kiss

of realizing
deep within
all is one
awake, sleeping

in between
above, below
moving fast
or going slow...

most of everything
is space
in molecules
electrons race
